Author Brian Cox believes that the fundamental change in the 21st century security environment calls for a new paradigm to address national security concerns. For him, this paradigm must acknowledge the cultural and historical factors at the heart of many identity-based conflicts and advance the role of nation-states in resolving them. Cox calls this emerging paradigm "Faith-Based Diplomacy" (published by Xlibris).

This book focuses on bringing together religion and politics in the strategic political realm in the work of peacemaking and reconciliation. It presents the principles, methodologies and applications of a unique form of track two diplomacy needed in the 21st century security environment. It is informed by Cox's 25 years of experience in some of the world's roughest neighborhoods, including East Central Europe and the Balkans, Sudan, Kashmir and the Middle East.

"Faith-Based Diplomacy" is a must read for policymakers, diplomats, religious, political and military leaders and national security professionals. It is also a clarion call for those next generation faith-based diplomats who aspire to dedicate their lives to reconciliation and peacemaking in the strategic political realm.
