Dr. Ernest J. Wilson III delivers a lecture on public diplomacy at the American University in Dubai

On September 16, USC Annenberg Dean and CPD University Fellow, Dr. Ernest J. Wilson III, delivered a lecture entitled “Public Diplomacy, a New Tool for Dubai,” at The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Communication at The American University in Dubai.

Wilson talked about public diplomacy in the context of globalization, the information revolution, economic uncertainty and the strategic shifts in world power. He discussed concepts of "hard" and "soft" power and emphasized the importance of enlightened leadership for their optimal wielding.
