Inside CPD: Spring 2020

This spring, CPD transitioned to an entirely virtual platform following the last in-person event—an all-day conference examining Japanese soft power influence. In response to global changes due to COVID-19, the Center launched several public online events, welcoming such speakers as California Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis, who spoke on advances in subnational diplomacy.

On the professional education front, CPD initiated a new series of workshops and re-designed the CPD Mini-Course to better serve the global diplomatic community looking to upgrade their skills for greater PD impact during times of change. Another welcome addition to the Center's programming is the launch of private roundtables, convening leaders and networks to share diverse ideas amid shared experiences.

These events and other CPD activities including publications, research and news are outlined in the latest issue of Inside CPD.
