CPD, in partnership with the United Nations Information Center and the United Nations Foundation, recently hosted a forum in Washington, DC on the role of public diplomacy in engaging stakeholders to implement the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Speakers emphasized the need for transparency and accountability to build public credibility; the importance of public-private partnerships to engage citizens and drive social change; and how positive messaging can inspire people that “they too can do something” to make a difference.
