Sophie Grove, contributor to Monocle magazine, has published a piece this month examining the process and execution of Vatican foreign policy. Her analysis focuses on both the Pope—whose diplomatic style is summarized as a “combination of ritual, prayer, and frank discussions on world affairs,”—and on the nuncios who comprise the papal diplomatic corps.
