A major round table conference on China Africa Communications is set to be held in June where scholars and practitioners will presents arguments in academic and conference papers. Organised by the Africa Communication Research Centre (ACRC) and the Communications University of China, the conference will consist of a mix of plenary and parallel sessions running from 12-13th June 2015 at the Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, China. 

The Israeli government will host a gathering of young scientists later this year as part of efforts to improve the image of a state internationally associated with occupation and military brutality. An estimated 400 young scientists from around the world will meet in Jerusalem in August.

 A rising call for African-led research has permeated Cape Town this week as HIV researchers and scientists from around the world flooded the city for the first HIV Research for Prevention Conference.

Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Richard Stengel will travel to Kuwait to lead the U.S. delegation for the October 27 conference of coalition partners focused on countering ISIL messaging and combatting violent extremism in the region.

The U.S. Department of State will explore the effects of mobile technology and their impact on diplomacy at Tech@State: Mobile Diplomacy on Friday, October 3, 2014. The event is designed to stimulate conversations between Department of State personnel and a wider community about ways mobile technologies can transform the work of diplomacy and development.
