Georgia is one of the closest partners of NATO and immensely contributes to Euro-Atlantic security, says NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Tacan Ildem. Ildem is in Tbilisi today to participate in the second addition of the NATO-Georgia Public Diplomacy Forum that opened in the Georgian capital today. PM Kvirikashvili opened the conference, saying that membership in the Euro-Atlantic family is an integral part of the government's vision for the future of Georgia

Lithuanian troops are teaching their British counterparts how to identify and fight Russia propaganda as part of an ongoing attempt to fight the country’s attempts to influence public opinion. Officers from the Baltic state – which is said to be at the front line of Russia’s “soft power” war in Europe – shared their experiences with the 77th Brigade, a new British Army unit set up to deal with information warfare.

In the framework of its policy of "engagement without recognition" in Georgia's and Azerbaijan's separatist territories, Washington has pursued public diplomacy and people-to-people initiatives to counter their isolation. 

Senior officials from Georgia and Ukraine on Wednesday exhorted Nato members to bring the two nations into the alliance in order to protect them from Russia and cement ties with the West.
