Felipe Carrera is a Law, Diplomacy and Public Affairs professional with a strong background in defending immigrants' rights and shaping a positive narrative around immigration. He currently serves as the head of the Consular Protection and Legal Assistance Office at the Consulate of Mexico in Los Angeles. Under this role he is the Government of Mexico's point of contact for immigration issues in Los Angeles County.
Through his work, he has developed an expertise in U.S. immigration policy, and has specialized in leading strategically, managing crisis, building coalitions, communicating effectively and implementing consular protection policies in challenging contexts.
