CPD Awards 2018-2019 Doctoral Dissertation Grant

The USC Center on Public Diplomacy is pleased to announce Phillip C. Arceneaux as the recipient of our 2018-2019 CPD Doctoral Dissertation Grant.

Arceneaux (University of Florida) is investigating the relationship between public diplomacy broadcasting and international law. His research focuses on situating the approach of political public relations strategy in the perspectives of internet governance and cybersecurity. Namely, such work involves probing how legal measures for data security and algorithm transparency can prove useful for the development of public policy on the uses of digital diplomacy and the abuses of computational propaganda.
