The Fall of a Giant? CPD University Fellow Debunks Myth of U.S. Decline

Contrary to popular belief, the rapid growth of China and India is not a threat to the U.S. economy contends CPD University Fellow Rob Asghar in his op-ed article "The Myth of America's Decline," published today by CNN.

The article states that although China and India have become more competitive with the U.S., both countries face massive environmental and infrastructural challenges. In addition, neither country "is in range of providing an American level of services to its citizenry." Globalization is an inherently American game, with the U.S. unlikely to lose its advantage. Asghar goes on to say that stories of America's decline are exaggerated.
