NEW: PDiN Monitor, March Issue

The March issue of PDiN Monitor focuses on The Role of Film in Public Diplomacy. A variety of notable events have sparked discussion around the role of film in public diplomacy, especially with the increasingly international make up of the Academy Awards.

In this issue's PD Snapshot, PDiN Monitor Associate Editor Kia Hays analyzes the public diplomacy news trends from February 16 to March 15, which discusses Film in Public Diplomacy News. Master of Public Diplomacy candidate Leila Nazarian discusses how the Iranian film A Separation's Oscar win for Foreign Film created an outlet of cultural information for the Iranian people during a time of high tension between Iran and the West in A Separation as a Tool of Iranian Cultural Diplomacy.
