Broadcast media executives have converged on Lagos for the 3rd international summit on Digital Broadcasting in Nigeria. The event organized by the Broadcast Organizations of Nigeria (BON) and BSP Media International had the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed in attendance.

What has been described as the inter-cultural dialogue between nations was experienced in Lagos, few days ago when a world heritage site in China was re-enacted via art exhibition in Lagos. Captured by a Nigerian artist, Uzoma Samuel Anyanwu, the Chinese cultural sites of Emperor Qin Shi Huang's mausoleum and the Terracotta Army Museum exhibition of photography, collage painting and sculpture further confirmed the ongoing relationship between Nigeria and the East's leading power-house.

“We need to look beyond Nigeria to see how art can be promoted globally.  History has bestowed us with artistic materials here and there.  It is for us to do our best to promote those issues to make art more acceptable to the world”. He went on to state that “this exhibition provides us with the opportunity for trans-cultural exchange. 

The President of PRCAN, John Ehiguese, who led his team to receive a delegation from Brand South Africa in Lagos, said there were learnings that Nigeria could draw from the strategies deployed by Brand South Africa in its own destination branding programme [...] there were salient opportunities for Nigeria to consider arising from the successful nation branding of South Africa.

The Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Nigeria, Mr. Liu Kan said the Chinese government is committed to ensuring formidable bilateral ties with Nigeria, [...] Liu said that with several projects spanning the previous few decades, Africa has always been cherished as the ‘foundation of the foundation’ in Chinese diplomacy.
