Robert Banks Named 2019-20 Perspectives Guest Editor

CPD is pleased to welcome Robert Banks, CPD Faculty Fellow and USC Annenberg Associate Professor in the Master of Public Diplomacy program, as Guest Editor for CPD Perspectives in Public Diplomacy, our scholarly paper series authored by public diplomacy scholars and practitioners from around the world.

Banks served 28 years in the U.S. Foreign Service as a public diplomacy practitioner with postings in Germany, Cyprus, South Korea, Nicaragua, Argentina and scholarly postings at the Marine Corps War College in Quantico, VA and USC as CPD's U.S. Public Diplomat in Residence. In 2011 he authored a CPD Perspectives article titled "A Resource Guide to Public Diplomacy Evaluation."

Launched in 2009, CPD Perspectives has published 60 issues on such public diplomacy topics as a strategic narrative analysis of the Benghazi crisis, the inner workings of terrorists online networks, and so much more. Banks will oversee the peer-review process and work with contributors to keep the paper series at the forefront of public diplomacy thought leadership.
